Soul Friends staff believe strongly in the power of group therapy to change behavior and improve self-esteem in children.  Interactive therapy with animals is informed by  body-centered psychotherapy practices to assist children with :

  • Increased understanding of how life events impact our bodily responses
  • Opportunities to practice new, healthier behaviors in the here and now
  • Increased bodily awareness to assist with self-control, affect regulation and improved behavior

Group Programs: 

Heeling Hearts
An 8 session interactive group program for children living with social-emotional challenges including trauma, loss, grief and other mental health issues.
 
Come, Follow Me!
An interactive group program of social skills building for special needs children.
 
Horses Inspire!
Multiple group programs incorporating the healing benefits of interactions with horses to improve self-awareness, self-esteem
 
HEART (Helping to Educate, Affirm and Renew Teens)
