Soul Friends staff believe strongly in the power of group therapy to change
behavior and improve self-esteem in children. Interactive therapy with
animals is informed by body-centered psychotherapy practices to assist
children with :
- Increased understanding of how life events impact our bodily responses
- Opportunities to practice new, healthier behaviors in the here and now
- Increased bodily awareness to assist with self-control, affect
regulation and improved behavior
Group Programs:
- Heeling Hearts
- An 8 session interactive group program for children living with
social-emotional challenges including trauma, loss, grief and other mental
health issues.

- An interactive group program of social skills building for special needs

interactions with horses to improve self-awareness, self-esteem
